Hey, look at my rear...big is beautiful !!

This is a dual post. First of all, today I celebrate my 2 year anniversary of my surgery....yay !!! No need to look at my rear...it is smaller though, which I am very grateful for. Now on to the trike....
Well we are definately moving along quickly!!! Yesterday we got the rear end all welded together...Jeff hates my design for the rear end, but I love it. He says it's "too bulky", I told him I just got alot of junk in the trunk !! I needed more "bulk" because I want to be able to carry enough stuff if we decide to drive a significate distance and need to stay somewhere, we will have clothes and supplies. With the addition of the trunk, it makes the bike 12ft. 9inches long. Pretty big, but big is beautiful.

Well off to the Dr.'s for my yearly checkup and then on to the garage to work on the trike !!!!

I am on vacation and devoting my afternoons to working on my "baby". Jeff is so talented and he is always coming up with new ways to do things!!! I am very anxious to get this done....weeeeeee !!!!!

Goodbye to a dear furry friend....

I just want to say goodbye to my cousin Matthew's cat Moscow. She was such a beautiful little mama and she will be dearly missed. My heart goes out to Matthew and Sophie. I always remember a little saying that I've heard...When a pet dies and goes to heaven, God places them on the lap of an angel...I now Moscow is sitting on Grama B's lap right now....

Provincetown, Mass....what a blast !!!

Well here's the final piece of our trip. We ended our trip in Provincetown. We had so much fun here !!! I celebrated my birthday here and we had a fresh lobster dinner followed by strawberry shortcake in the room. Mmmmm....what a fabulous day !!
We were supposed to go out on the boat for the whale watch for my birthday, but the seas didn't cooperate. So the following day we went on the whale watch, and it was so beautiful. We began by seeing some seals jumping through the water, then we headed out farther into the ocean...and found a momma and baby swimming together. They were so cute !!! Then we found a group of 7 whales "bubble feeding", which was an amazing sight to see !!! Our naturalist told us that they haven't seen that many whales bubble feeding in a few years, so we had a special treat !!!! Our Massachusettes trip was fantastic and I can't wait to scrapbook our pictures, I've already been out shopping for stickers and paper !!! Thanks to all who have watched our videos, we are so proud of our trip and love to share our stories with others !!!

Salem Trip (part 2)

Well here's part 2 of my Salem trip. It's not much, but it's a couple pics from our ghost hunt. Our tour guide, Michael, was a real treat !!! He is a side show performer , (sword swallower) for a local touring side show group. We talked about the movie Freaks with him, and he knew some people who actually worked with the pinhead Schlitzie!!! If you haven't seen the movie Freaks, it's about the side show people who performed at the circus. It was banned in the USA for awhile because it shows how the disfigured people were exploited by the circus owners. If you haven't seen it, you've got to. It's an old black and white movie but it is well worth watching !!! Next to come....Provincetown pics...and our whale watch !!!

Salem Trip (part 1)

Well we are finally back from our trip to Massachsettes. What a blast we had !!! This little video here contains a few pictures from Salem. We went on a Spellbound Ghost Hunt and I actually photographed orbs which I will be posting pictures of later. We spent 2 days in Salem at an old inn that was built in the 1800's called the Salem Inn. It was a very pleasant stay and we enjoyed the in-room jacuzzi !!! We also visited the old burial grounds where several people were buried from the witch trials. We did alot of shopping and ate at some very awesome restaurants that had fresh seafood, which is our favorite!!! I will be posting more later about our trip !!!

Skull Crusher Trike Party

Enjoy the little slideshow from the trike party. This party was hosted by the builder of our trike, Jeff and his wife Thelma. We met alot of nice people there who we will be riding with in the near future !!! I got to drive the green firetrike, what a blast that was. Robin screamed and giggled all the way down the road !!! We can't wait to get out "baby" completed !!!!

Work now in progress.....

Well, work on the trike has begun !!! We are so excited !!! So far we've gotten the engine removed from the car. We are using the engine out of an old chevy corsica. I love my chevys!!!

Also I got an old 1980 yamaha 650 special for the front.

It only cost me 25 bucks !! What a deal !!! We are going to cut that baby apart soon,, and really get down to the designing of our monster !!!

Wheeee, we can't wait to ride !!!!

Hangovers are not fun.....but getting drunk is !!!

Well, needless to say, I went out with friends last night and got intoxicated. We went to the local watering hole and saw a live band. The band was awesome, as usual. They are called E-Z Money The drummer is a co-worker and the lead singer is my old high school English teacher. They are a great bunch of guys and really know how to rock !!! They mainly play classic rock, and I love to listen to them. I had A vodka and cranberry, which led eventually to SEVERAL vodka and cranberries. I haven't been this intoxicated in literally years...so I was due. We ALL had a blast, and everyone came back to the house afterwards and played Rock Band. Nothing is better than watching drunks play Rock Band !!! A good time was had by all, and we all are looking forward to doing it again, but not too soon, I gotta recoup from this time !!!

Spring time busy bee........

Today was a very busy day. I only have one day off this week and had WAY too much planned, but I got most of my jobs done. Grocery shopping, lawn mowing, weed whacking, flower planting, and taking out the garbage - all done !!! Washing my car will have to wait for another day, it looks like Mother Nature may help me later in the week, so I'm glad that I put that on hold. I have to work numerous hours this week, so hopefully my sinuses will cooperate and stop giving me a headache. Robin and I are both feeling under the weather, she has an ear infection and I have a VERY bad sinus headache, but I've started taking my allergy medicine, so hopefully things will get better. This weekend I get to go camping for the first time this year. I am SOOOO looking forward to fishing and relaxing, and spending some time with Mom for Mother's Day. Happy Spring too all !!!

We brainstormed today and came up with some great ideas !! I am SOOOO excited !!! On the next nice day we are going to rip the motor out of the Corsica and start building!!! Oh boy, I CANNOT wait to get it finished !!!

F'n wasps.....

Oh...tis the season for wasps and snakes. I love all the creatures of the Earth, but snakes and wasps are among the most feared in my home. Robin is terrified of wasps, as am I of snakes. The wasps are terrible this year. We've killed a few inside and our poor baby Burl got stung in the nose and his face swelled up like a balloon. Ugh...I understand what the purpose of wasps, but come on why sting me or my cats when we haven't done anything to you. So today I've decided to fight back !!! I went to the local Wally Mart and bought 5 cans of wasp and hornet spray, a yellow jacket trap and some bee baits. I will rule the land !!! As of an hour ago I have already caught 2 wasps in the trap and shot 5 down out of the air. Like I said, I will rule!!

As for snakes, thats my hell on Earth !!! They don't (unfortunately) sell any sort of traps, bait or spray for them !!! I try to stay clear of areas where they might possible be lurking, but cleaning up brush and mowing tall grass puts you right in the middle of "happy snakeland"!!! I have only seen one so far, and after popping a xanax, I survived. Let's pray that I do not see anymore, I don't think I could take it.

This evening I will be planning my rose bush garden with my Aunt Judy. She's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to plants and gardens, and I know she will help me plan a beautiful rose garden. We have alot to discuss, like why I keep losing my rose bushes, and hopefully can come up with a solution to get my rose bushes to live.

Happy Spring to all !!!

Dream a little dream of me.....

Well I spent yesterday out in the garden, got alot accomplished and I'm very happy about that. I lost a couple rosebushes, which makes me very sad, but I'll just have to replace them.

I also went and visited a long time friend of mine. His name is Jeff and he's a motorcycle trike builder. I had a great time, and might very well be building one of my own a few months down the road. It is something I've always dreamed of. I am very excited and hope that this dream of mine will come true. Jeff and I sat down and kicked ideas around and we have come up with some great plans. I went out on Thelma's trike (Jeff's wife) with her and it was such a great feeling. I got alot of work ahead of me, but I'm ready for the challenge. The above picture is of Jeff's last trike that he built. He built it for himself, and it's an awesome ride!

So this is my project right now, I don't know if I financially can do it, but I'm going to give it a try !!! Cross your fingers ( and toes ) !!!

The weather is nice, wish you were here.....

Well, today was so nice out! I got alot accomplished. I had a wonderful lunch with my mom, and did some odds-n-ends shopping. I bought a new hummingbird feeder for Sydney ( one of our cats ), he loves to watch the hummingbirds. For some reason they like to tease him and dance in the window in front of him. He chirps like a bird and the hummingbirds entertain him for hours. I also bought Boom-boom ( another of our cats ) some new fishies. Our baby cat loves the fish tank and gets terribly upset when any of the fish die. I always promise him that I will buy him new ones when I go to the store. He waits patiently by the door for me to get home with his new fishies, and actually waits for them while I float the baggie. Then when I release the new fishies, he watches them very closely to make sure that they adjust to the new tank. He's so funny !!!!

I also did some weeding in the flowers beds. My daffodils are starting to bloom and the tulips aren't going to be far behind. I love the spring time !!!

Tomorrow I am going to work some more in the flower beds and get some spring clean-up done. I gotta go get my mop cut too. Then I think I will relax and have a quiet evening at home.

Out of work early.....

Well tonight I got to get out of work early....how awesome is that!!! We had extra officers so I actually had senority to be able to leave 4 hours early. So here I sit watching King Kong and actually getting a chance to relax. Robin was happy to see me come home early, but was not feeling well after eating a pork chop. Boy, am I glad I can't eat pork...or else I would be sick too. I am also taking tonight to try and figure out how turn on the comments so people can leave me messages if they so choose to.

Also today we received a package from one of my best friends, Todd, thats in Iraq. He sent us beautiful bracelets and 2 t-shirts from the Camp Falcon Fire dept. in South Baghdad, Iraq. How cool is that !! I miss him alot and can't wait for him to come home.

Well, I am going to finish watching King Kong and then work on painting my birdhouses. And the cats are begging for treats, so I must go before I get my face legs scratched off !!!!

Lets celebrate.....

Well with the birth of Sierra yesterday, we have alot to be thankful for. She is a healthy little peanut and she's doing well. I talked with Brian and they finally were going to get to hold her and they were so excited about that. I would also like to celebrate someone else....Gram Brinkman. Today is her birthday and I can't believe that shes been gone for almost 10 years. I miss her so much but I know that she's so happy right now looking down on baby Sierra and seeing what a beautiful baby she is. I miss Gram so much and it still hurts deeply to not have her here physically, but I know she's always looking down on us and laughing and spritually guiding us along. I always think of the great times that we had and that seems to make missing her not be so bad. I love you Gram and Happy Birthday !!!

YEA...SHE'S HERE !!!!!!!!

Congrats to Brian and Karen !!!!

Well, this blog is new, I will give it time....

I've been wondering why no one has came to my new blog.....

I guess that you have to tell people about your blog, or they won't know it exists (duh!). So I am posting and send emails to tell about my new blog.....

Today was an uneventful day. I feel like crap, ( I think Robin and I are in the begining stages of the stomach flu...ugh !!!), and I had to clean up cat puke yet again. So needless to say, a pukey crappy day all around....the weather was awesome today and it was nice to be able to go outside without being worried about getting frostbitten !!!!

Hopefully my blog will get more interesting and I will hear from you all !!!!
